Performing Rights

We have vast knowledge on the bureaucratic process that will guarantee your performing rights and royalties and the proper collection of payments, especially in the Brazilian market.

Performance royalties are the fees paid when music is performed publicly whether it’s on TV, radio, live shows, malls, parties, shows and more. To understand how the entire process works it is essential to understand key concepts,  such as the difference between “Master Recording” and “Music Composition”.

Music Composition – A composition is a music work, with or without lyrics, which can be performed by different artists and have different versions, such as acoustic, live and studio.

Master Recording – It’s the recording of a performance of the underlying composition. It’s the song we listen to on a DSP (Digital Service Provider) or on the radio.

Therefore, those who hold the rights to the Music Composition must be paid for any reproductions of the masters and performance royalties if they are performed publicly. We have the knowledge of what’s necessary for the fees to be collected efficiently and we are responsible for coordinating the entire bureaucratic process with the member organizations, in the United States and Brazil, to guarantee the proper compensation of authors, composers, editors, interpreters, musicians and music producers regarding the public performance of their compositions.
